BIIAB Accredited Training Module
BIIAB is committed to promoting high standards of professionalism through training within hospitality, retail and education sectors, to include training providers.
Research has identified that many organisations would value national recognition within the industry, by achieving BIIAB accreditation for their Training Module(s).
BIIAB accreditation will provide organisations with the opportunity to achieve national recognition for their 'in house' training courses.
BIIAB will consider bespoke 'in house' training courses from:
- established organisations
- education sector
- training providers
A training course is likely to fall into one of the following categories:
- an established training course under which delegates and/or staff are assessed and receive an 'in house' certificate, reflecting their knowledge and understanding of the training received.
- an existing training course in which the assessment methodology has not been embedded. However, the organisation seeks to implement an 'in house' assessment method to reflect the delegates and/or staff knowledge and understanding.
A training course either new or existing where an organisation would benefit from the support of BIIAB in either one or all of the following areas:
- guidance and advise on the revision of the training course to meet BIIAB benchmark criteria.
- write learning outcomes and assessment criteria in line with the content of the 'in house' training course.
- design the assessment methodology and write the assessment questions in line with the assessment criteria.
- provide the administrative service for the organisations quality management systems, e.g. gather and maintain records on each of the nominated tutors, satellite venues, delivery dates and delegate details in line with the accreditation criteria.
The guidance principles of the scheme include:
- the ownership of the course design and content remains with the organisation submitting the application.
- by applying for accreditation the organisation is indicating a willingness to work with BIIAB in raising standards, within the hospitality, retail and education sectors through their 'in house' training course.
- organisation details submitted to BIIAB will be considered confidential.
