The Scottish Licensee's Certificate in Drugs Awareness is a nationally recognised qualification designed to raise awareness of the established illegal drugs scene, it gives a basic knowledge and understanding of the law relating to the misuse and supply of controlled drugs on licensed premises. It provides operational guidelines to help licensees or managers deal effectively with any drug related problems on their premises. It also provides guidance for the development of policies and strategies to prevent such problems arising. Who is the qualification for? The Scottish Licensee's Certificate in Drugs Awareness is designed for all managers and licensees running licensed premises in What does the qualification cover? The qualification has been designed to be delivered in one day (although this may vary between centres) and includes a short, closed book multiple-choice examination. A comprehensive handbook, presented in an easy-to-follow format, supports the qualification and covers all the information required to complete the examination.
