- Where can I take a BIIAB qualification?
BIIAB’s qualifications can only be offered by centres approved by BIIAB. Centres will provide training for the qualification and a venue for taking the examination. These centres include colleges of further and higher education, independent training companies and retail companies. To find an approved centre near you click here . -
What are the ID Requirements?
Candidates are required to provide proof of identity immediately prior to the examination. To find out the acceptable proof of identity for BIIAB Level 2 National Certificate for Door Supervisors, click here.

- How much will training and the examination cost?
Training and examination costs vary between centres and are not regulated by BIIAB. Some centres include the costs of the examination, the qualification handbook and other materials as well as meals and refreshments in their overall price. Some centres may spread training over more than one day. So, it is important to check these details before choosing a course - contact your chosen approved centre to confirm training and examination costs. - When will I receive my examination results?
You will be informed of your results by the centre where you sat the examination. You need to check with your centre how they will inform you of the results. For BIIAB’s licensing qualifications, your centre should inform you of the results within a few days from taking the examination.
Please note because of the 2003 Data Protection Act - BIIAB CANNOT issue results directly to candidates over the telephone.
- How do I re-sit an examination?
You should be able to re-sit the examination at the same centre but you can re-sit at another centre but you may need to repeat the training.
- How can I obtain a replacement certificate, or passport (Northern Ireland door supervisors only)?
