Apprenticeship Standards and End Point Assessments (EPA)
Apprenticeships are changing
BIIAB Apprenticeships provide fantastic opportunities for people in life and work. Government reform of Apprenticeships in England means that Apprenticeships are changing from SASE Frameworks to Employer led ‘Trailblazer’ Standards.
BIIAB have a significant track record in Work Based Learning to support Apprenticeship delivery and assessment, across a wide range of service sectors. So in an environment of great change, we are here to help. We work in collaboration with Private Providers, FE Colleges and Employers to ensure you get the best advice, guidance and support that you need, to deliver Apprenticeships efficiently and effectively with full quality assurance.
We will help you to be up and running on day one of the Apprenticeship delivery of the standard and preparing the Apprentice for the End Point Assessments (EPA).
BIIAB Quality Assured Delivery and Assessment Preparation - QADAP Packs
The new Apprenticeship system requires an Apprentice to complete a period of time learning and developing the required skills, knowledge and behaviours set out in each Apprenticeship Standard and prior to undertaking the EPA.
BIIAB has developed a 'QADAP' Pack which includes the whole process to complete the Standard and prepares the Apprentice for all the elements of the assessments that will be undertaken in the EPA.
The BIIAB QADAP pack includes
- Apprentice diagnostics
- A tailored, consistent and standardised approach across your delivery teams
- Ability to upload to a VLE and/or e-portfolio system
- Tracking the on-going progress towards the Gateway
- Certificates of Learning Progress for the Apprentice
- Practice assessments that Apprentices will experience in the EPA
- A process to create evidence for ESFA audit and Ofsted inspection
- Ability to manage risk.
BIIAB approved centres have access to view the relevant QADAP packs to support your learners. If you're looking for centre approval, please click here.
In order to view QADAP packs, please ensure you are logged into Centrezone and then click here to view (If you can't see the QADAP pack you are looking for, please contact our Customer Support Team who will be able to give you further details).
In order to benefit from the full quality assurance process, including quality assurance visits and certificates of progress for each Apprentice, and further information about how the QADAP packs will support your business, please contact our Customer Support Team and we will arrange to visit you.
BIIAB is an End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) for a number of Standards.
Once the Apprentice has completed the training of the skills, knowledge and behaviour as defined in the respective Standard and their Employer 'signs them off for passing through the Gateway', the Apprentice must then undertake the EPA.
The Apprentice must 'pass' the EPA in order to gain their Apprenticeship,
The EPA is different for each Standard and will combine a number of assessment methods, which have been decided by the Employer Groups who designed the Standards.
BIIAB are currently approved on the Register of End-Point Assessment Organisations (RoEPAO) to deliver EPAs for the following Standards:

Providers and employers working with, or wishing to work with, apprenticeships should fully read, and keep up to date with, all of the official guidance.
